Nine Months

*The beginning of this post was written on the 2nd.

Well, they're 9 months old today. So here I am. This has felt like the longest month for some reason. I think it's because I've been anticipating my mother's arrival (which was today), and because I've been waiting and WAITING for Springtime! I think it's finally here in Central PA.

They're so much stronger than they were a month ago. They are slowly walking along tables. They crawl and climb onto everything and they pick things up and eat with their hands. They are in 12-18 month clothes now which is crazy for being in the 3rd and 10th percentile in weight when they were born. David has one tooth and Harrison has zero. Haha.

They call everything "Dada" and only say the word mom every once in a while. It was really funny - David was staring deeply at a little puff snack and finally said "Mom" in an approving voice. And then he ate it.

It's amazing how much children learn on their own, just experiencing life. And I think because they have each other they learn how to be weird and social very early in life (Dave and I may also contribute to the weirdness, according to my mother). Going from zero to two children is a crazy thing to go through, but I think it was better for me to have two than one. I get to learn so much so fast, and be never so exhausted in my life as I am now, and see new and individual growth from each of them every day. Every part of me is very, very occupied, and I love it. I love the challenge. My husband loves it too. If only he had a job or church calling that allowed him more time at home!

On another note: I made an April Fool's joke that I was pregnant again, and it was hilarious to see the wide range of emotion in response. Thankfully, I am not pregnant.

Again, I AM NOT PREGNANT. Rest easy tonight.

It's been fun having my mom here. She's already leaving in a couple days which I'm mad about. Here's yesterday morning:
***Video on standby - Hopefully blogger will work later***

We are passionately looking forward to summertime. Specifically, having new carseats and strollers, swimming pools, family vacations, my brother's wedding!, and no more winter depression.

I'm also looking forward to more sports and skateboarding with the broken-but-still-functional skateboard Dave found for me.

What are you excited about this summer? Do you have any traditions?
